Today we stopped by Arlington Cemetery to show the kids the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and caught the changing of the guard just before Arlington closed for the evening. The kids really thought it was interesting and cool.
When we left Arlington, we stopped by the Iwo Jima Memorial... it is wonderful at night...

I got "Happy Mail" yesterday from Stacy Julian!!! I was so excited, she even sent me a little hand written note and I also got an "A" monogram stamp!! There was "Love, Elsie" mini album, ribbon and charms, as well as 2 other mini albums, some extremely cute quote post cards, a Big Ideas pencil and BPS mouse pad... I was just squeeling with delight when I opened the package after work!! - All of this was a "thank you" from Stacy for posting photos of my "MyBook" that was created during a class I took over there at Big Picture Scrapbooking, if you haven't checked them out yet, you should!

Pat and I took Cameron & Tara + Jenna to the movies this afternoon. Saw Stephen King's THE MIST... I highly recommend it if you love suspence or horror movies. We took the kids out for Pizza Hut pizza afterwards... a grand time was had by all!

Not the best photo I've ever taken, but between the crowds and this very active young bellringer, the best I could get yesterday with my cell phone... I could not believe how impressed I was with this young man... only about 6 years old and giving back to the community with his Mom and younger sibling... Tara and I could not resist putting a little something into his kettle...
